The article discusses the importance of journalistic freedom and how its challenged and endangered by political leaders. It also underscores the dangers of mistakenly labelling something as ‘fake news’ when its not.

According to the article, the fact that a prominent leader like the President of the United States of America engages in criticism of media houses, gives political leaders around the world to do the same and limit the free speech of journalism, which is essential to its very being.

One of the ways President trump uses to bad-mouth the media or regard any news he does not like as “fake news” is through twitter. In today’s age, Twitter is a web service which fosters incivility and impulsivity. Due to this, it is easy to “trash talk” other fellow humans and their actions. Surprisingly, a man as important as the president himself falls prey to this too.
