Wall Street Journal as a Course Resource

The source I have chosen for writing news responses during the semester is the Wall Street Journal. The first reason that I chose Wall Street Journal is that I have been reading it for a long time. Although the Wall Street Journal is believed to be more financially oriented in content, it does have sections related to media technology. I think using the Wall Street Journal as a news resource for this class allows me to learn about media-related issues and at the same time read about the analysis from a financial perspective which I am very interested in

I personally find the Wall Street Journal to be quite similar with the New York Times, except that you can only access most of the posts on the Wall Street Journal after you have paid and subscribed. Moreover, there is a “China” column under “World” section of the Wall Street Journal, which includes the news related to my home country. Although it is impressive that the New York Times even has a Chinese version website, I still find the Wall Street Journal to be more comprehensive.
