Website Reflection #1

As I was updating and beautifying my website, I thought about my goals for the design and content of the site as well as for my semester in Digital Media and Culture as a whole. I hope to keep my website up to date and to work on my time management and project management skills. I hope to perfect these skills by keeping up with the latest trends and news in the New York Times and the Atlanta Journal Constitution. I updated the “About Me” section of my website. I discussed my major, Media Studies, and why I chose to pursue this course of study at Emory. I hope that my viewers will see this section of my website and gain knowledge about my personality and academic goals. I added a picture of myself to personalize it as well. Moreover, in the background of the site, I added a panoramic image from the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I visited here and took the picture last semester while I studied abroad. I chose this image because it is a unique and special image that resonates with me from the semester. It demonstrates my love for travel and adventure. The wide, panoramic view portrays a sense of exploration and the vast amount of space and time that’s open for creativity in this world. I hope that the viewers of my site see this image and feel a sense of belonging and comfort. I am looking forward to enhancing my site further throughout the semester!ecrea_themes-low
